LCS is a service of London Councils, which is the membership body for the 32 London Boroughs. LCS delivers a regional collaborative arrangement on behalf of 17 Local Authorities (16 London boroughs and one partner authority; Milton Keynes).
LCS member authorities use the Model Contract to procure placements with Independent Fostering Agencies (IFA's) and Residential Children's Homes (RCH) for the children in their care. The Contract places the best interests of children first and aims to assist members and providers to deliver services of the highest quality where children can thrive.
One of the greatest benefits of this arrangement is that IFA's and RCH's can express their interest to join LCS at any time, by submitting an application form that will initiate an assessment process.
