Consultation on adoption and fostering proposals

The Government is consulting on a range of adoption and fostering proposals. For adoption these are the new, shorter two-stage approval process for prospective adopters, and fast-track procedure for approved foster carers and previous adopters. Thesechanges are aimed at increasing the use made by adoption agencies of the Adoption Register and changes to regulations to make it easier for prospective adopters to be approved as temporary foster carers–the 'fostering for adoption' proposal. http://www.education.gov.uk/childrenandyoungpeople/families/fostercare/a00213903/proposals
