A new offer for young people with disabilities in transition to adult life and independence

A new offer for young people with disabilities in transition to adult life and independence event will be taking place at London Councils on 24 June from 2:30pm. If you would like to make a booking, please email peter.steyn@londoncouncils.gov.uk with the names and e-mail addresses of those attending by Wednesday 22 June. Notifications of enforcement action against children’s social care providers

Section 30A of the Care Standards Act 2000 (as inserted by s29 of the Children and Young Persons Act 2008) is due to commence on 1 April 2011. This section requiresOfsted to send a notification to every local authority in England and Wales whenthey take certain enforcement action against a children’s social care provision. This includes action taken against a children’s home, voluntary adoption agency, adoption support agency, independent fostering agency or a residential family centre.
